The visiting therapist will first take a detailed history of your condition together with any relevant past medical history. A physical assessment will then be undertaken to determine a working clinical diagnosis of your problem. Following this the therapist will discuss a proposed treatment plan with you, and will give an estimate as to the treatment required and the proposed outcome. We also try to provide advice and treatment within the initial assessment where possible.
Although we do not set time limits for appointments, the initial assessment usually takes one hour and subsequent treatment sessions will last approximately forty-five minutes. Every opportunity will be given to you to ask questions about your condition, its management, and its prevention in the future.
We provide my clients with individual rehabilitation equipment as a loan or purchase scheme where appropriate. If you are a member of a local gym, we can provide specific exercise routines to suit your needs and advice on specific equipment available.
