STAFF PROFILES

All our Physiotherapists are Chartered and registered with the Health Professions Council. This means they are highly trained healthcare providers in musculoskeletal medicine, and you can expect the most competent standard of care for your injury and rehabilitation.

 

Amy Bateman

 

Amy BAtemanAmy is the Practice Principal, having establishing the practice in 2005. Amy graduated from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle in 1999 with a BSc Honours degree in Physiotherapy.

 

Since then she lived and worked in London for almost 5 years, gaining a diverse range of experience before moving to Cumbria in 2003. In 2005 Active-Physio was established initially as a mobile physiotherapy service which grew rapidly and is now a thriving practice based at Kendal Judo Club.

 

Amy was hoping to work as a physiotherapist at the 2012 Olympics before she became pregnant with twins.

 

Nicola Gaskins

 

Nicola GaskinsNicola graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 1997 from the Manchester School of Physiotherapy. She undertook her junior rotations at Burnley General Hospital and the Royal Preston Hospital. In early 2000 she moved to Westmorland General Hospital taking up a senior post which involved provision of the physiotherapy service to the medical wards, acute care of the elderly and cardiac rehabilitation exercise classes.

 

Nicola provides part-time community based Physiotherapy for Active-Physio.

 

 

Wendy Crawley

 

Wendy CrawleyWendy is our part-time Practice Administrator dealing with all the financial and administrative needs of the practice.

 

Wendy has been a life long Secretary working mainly in schools and education departments and has worked for Active-Physio since its inception in 2005
