We have been delighted to support the Brathay Windermere Marathon and in particular the 10 Marathons in 10 Days Challenge, where we provided 10 days of pre and post race physio for the runners, the runners then went on to break two world records! In the past we have supported the Ace Race Series, Saunders Lakeland Mountain Marathon and the Trail Cyclists National Championships. We had excellent feedback from organisers and racers who found our service invaluable in maintaining high standards of event organisation along with a service provision which kept the racers racing.
Our unit presents all the benefits of having a sports injury clinic based at the event site providing sports injury management. This service is provided without charge for competitions as we charge the competitors directly. We are able to deal with events/races that have up to 2000 competitors, and have been known to treat some of the organisers too!
The unit is ideal for external rural environments though it can be adapted for the urban environment.
